Hi, I’m Melissa!

I’m so happy that you’ve stopped by my blog! If you enjoy cooking and baking with simple and healthy ingredients, you have come to the right place!

I am in my late-twenties, living about an hour outside of Toronto, Ontario. My boyfriend, Kai, and I have both worked in health-care for a combined total of almost 10 years, most recently as Registered Respiratory Therapists.

Between our two families, we have a lot of dietary restrictions. So when we get together, it is important we pick things that everyone can enjoy!

I created this blog to share my delicious recipes, which are frequently gluten-free, dairy-free, refined sugar-free, and paleo. After experiencing digestive issues for most of my life I, changed my diet to fit within these categories (with the occasional cheat day). These changes have resulted in a dramatic improvement in my physical well-being and overall health.

We like to experiment with our diet and establish healthy eating patterns, allowing us to find what works best for us, to lead to a healthy active lifestyle! My goal is to show everyone that you can still eat delicious food, feel good, and use simple ingredients without feeling like you’re missing out on anything!

While we do both work in health-care, I make no claims to be a certified nutritionist or registered dietician. I am just someone who likes to use healthy, quality ingredients to fuel my body, while expressing my love for cooking and baking for others!
